Investment advisor Catherine Austin Fitts, a Wall Street banker who was also Assistant Secretary of Housing under George Bush, Sr., has founded Solari. Solari, which sci-fi affinionados among you may recognize as the fictional currency in Dune, is a private company that promises advice on how to ethically “invest in people, communities, natural resources, and diversified enterprises that you and your networks know and trust in a manner that creates real wealth and security for yourself, your family, and your business.” The website offers free and not-free audiocasts and conferences with Austin Fitts, who is groovier than her resume would suggest. Even if you don’t end up paying for Solari’s services, the site provides many useful links to financial news. Full of detailed information, Solari offers a unique perspective on the global financial system and how to make it work for, not against the world’s people.
